Cambridge Audio CXA81 Mk II 接替 2019 年的 CXA81。What Hi-Fi? 指出，它同時頂替了較低一級的 CXA61，CX 合併機由兩款收成一款。外殼沿用上代，前面印字由「CXA81」改為「CXA」，背板則標「CXA81 MK II」。升級藏在機內：Class AB 線路換上更高規格零件，解碼晶片改用 ESS ES9018K2M SABRE32。調聲由 Cambridge 倫敦工程團隊負責。
後級是 Class AB，8 Ω 輸出 80 W RMS，4 Ω 輸出 120 W RMS。環形變壓器供電，官方稱採雙抽頭設計。頻響 <5 Hz–60 kHz（±1 dB）。最高功耗 750 W，待機低於 0.5 W。
模擬入四組 RCA 加一組平衡 XLR；評測指 XLR 與第一組 RCA 共用輸入位。數碼入按評測所列為同軸一路、光纖兩路、USB-B 一路。光纖收 16／24 bit、32–96 kHz PCM；同軸至 192 kHz PCM。USB 預設 Audio Class 2.0，PCM 至 24 bit／384 kHz，DSD256（含 DoP256）。藍牙 4.2 接收，最高 aptX HD（24 bit／48 kHz）。Roon Tested，電腦經 USB 直接入 Roon。
輸出有兩組喇叭端子，可另接一對喇叭放第二個房間。評測另列三個輸出：前級、超低音、3.5 mm 耳機。Control Bus 讓同系 Cambridge 器材跟它一齊開關機。面板只留電源、各輸入獨立按鍵同一粒大音量旋鈕；每個輸入一按即到，不用逐格輪轉。背板字樣正反各印一次，由機頂望落接線也看得清。
它是純合併機：沒有網絡串流，沒有 HDMI ARC，沒有唱頭放大。電視可經光纖接入。唱盤要另加唱放，同店 Alva Solo（MM）或 Alva Duo（MM／MC）正好補這個位。
機身 430 × 115 × 341 mm（W × H × D），重 8.7 kg，鋁同鋼材外殼。標準色 Lunar Grey。另有限量 CX Black Edition：啞黑陽極氧化鋁面板，配細緻亮黑點綴，官方說明聲音與標準版相同。

聲音性格
先感受到的是體積同底氣：比上代 CXA81 更大、更穩，低頻抓得更實。中頻乾淨飽滿，人聲同木結他有輪廓。由搖滾轉去古典，表現都在同一水平，不偏幫某類音樂。細音量下管弦樂仍有規模。用平衡 XLR 入，空間比 RCA 再鬆一點、自然一點。What Hi-Fi? 覺得節奏推進同凝聚力不及 Arcam A15；Trusted Reviews 評耳機口同藍牙屬實用級。
